Charsadda police officers honoured for arresting notorious armed gang

District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Waqas Khan on Thursday awarded cash prizes and certificates of appreciation to police officials for successfully arresting a dangerous gang involved in dacoity and other serious crimes.
The awards were presented to DSP Tangi Gulshed Khan, SHO Tangi Irfan Khan, SHO Mandani Bismillah Jan and members of their team in recognition of their outstanding performance during the operation.
According to police officials, the gang—described as “bulletproof” due to their sophisticated tactics and resistance—was wanted by Islamabad Police in multiple cases of dacoity and other serious offences.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Muhammad Waqas Khan said the successful operation reflects the professionalism, courage and dedication of the police force.
He added that the action sends a strong message to criminal elements and reassures citizens about their safety.
He further praised the team’s commitment to duty, stating that such efforts are vital for maintaining law and order and preventing crime in the district.
Responding to reports circulating on social media, Charsadda Police clarified that there is no organised gang network or no-go area in the district.
The police reaffirmed their vigilance and commitment, stating that all available resources are being utilised to safeguard the lives and property of the public.
