Children Day marked at Polytechnic Institute Sardar Garhi

PESHAWAR: Child Protection Unit in collaboration with Helvetas Pakistan here Saturday organized an event in Government Polytechnic Institute Sardar Garhi to mark International Children’s Day. Principal Prof. Saeed Ahmad warmly welcomed all participants on this special occasion and highlighted importance of celebrating Children’s Day. The event was attended by students, faculty members, and child protection stakeholders. The event featured an impactful theatre performance conveying important messages on child rights, poverty, child protection, positive parenting, workplace safety, harassment faced by working children and the importance of education. Distinguished guests included Ms. Shazia Hina, Project Manager Helvetas–IPVC; Mr. Akhtar Munir, Child Protection Officer; Dr. Nayab, Social Case Worker; Mr. Zahid Nadeem, CEO Haris Institute of Technology; representatives from Habibas Institute; Mr. Habib-un-Nabi, Program Manager Radio Pakistan; along with various stakeholders from the education and child-protection sectors. The gathering reaffirmed a collective commitment to raising community awareness, promoting child rights ensuring safer and more inclusive environments for all children. APP
