CM Aide on sports for early completion of ongoing projects

An important meeting held here on Tuesday with Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Mutiullah Marwat in the chair, reviewed progress on ongoing construction works on Hayatabad Cricket Stadium and Arbab Niaz Stadium.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Youth Affairs Mushtaq Ali Khan, Director General (DG) Sports Khalid Mehmood and officials of the merged districts.
The forum was informed about the progress on the construction works on the two mega sports projects.
Mutiullah Marwat early completion of the aforementioned projects would pave the way for PSL and international level matches in Peshawar.
He said that the sports department at the regional and district level should make immediate use of the facilities so that the youth can get opportunities to play at the national and international levels.
The meeting was informed that the development budget of the sports department of KP is more than other provinces.
It was stated that the finance department has agreed in principle with the project of costing Rs 250 million at the provincial level for providing the best facilities in Hayatabad Sports Complex and Arbab Niaz Stadium.
Chief Minister Aide on Sports was informed that the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) also provides training to our coaches in accordance with the modern requirements.
He was also given a briefing regarding the sports facilities available at the regional and district levels of the province.
The chair during the briefing was also given complete details pertaining to the training programs.
He was informed that 3000 in inter-varsity games, 750 in Zamung Kor Sports Festivals and 5800 in inter-constituency games participated from 115 constituencies while Kabaddi Challenge Cup was also organized in Bannu.Special Assistant for Sports and Youth Affairs Matiullah Marwat said that all the systems of the department should be digitized and the facilities available at the Union Council level from e-tendering including the issuance of e-bidding and online registration of players should be made available on the official website of the department.
