Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, chaired a meeting to review the progress of development projects under the annual development program.
The meeting was attended by additional chief secretaries and administrative secretaries.
The forum reviewed progress made on the development projects of municipalities, irrigation, communication, tourism, sports.
The meeting also discussed the status of allocation of funds made by the provincial government, releases and ongoing funds for the development projects in the ADP schemes.
Gandapur emphasized the priority of completing projects near completion and ensuring timely funding for their early finish.
He stressed making the annual development program realistic and aligned with public needs, avoiding projects that cannot be completed for years.
“Minimizing contractors’ arrears to ensure timely provision of facilities, CM-KP asked the departments for prioritizing project completion during the current financial year. He directed officials concerned to prepare PCs for unapproved projects and inform the planning department.
Gandapur said that no compromise would be made on development project quality.
“The concerned departments should prepare the PCs of the unapproved projects included in the annual development program as soon as possible,” he added.
The meeting aimed to accelerate development project completion, ensuring public benefits and efficient use of resources, said official statement.
