PESHAWAR
The spokesperson of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, on Tuesday dismissed claims of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former federal minister Murad Saeed’s interference in provincial administrative affairs.
He denied reports of secret communications between Murad Saeed and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, stating that the decision to remove former Communication and Works (C&W) Minister Shakeel Khan was based on the ‘Good Governance Committee’s report’ formed on the direction of PTI founder Imran Khan.
It is pertinent to mention here that PTI founder Imran Khan’s close aide and former federal minister Murad Saeed is wanted in connection with the violent events of 9 May. He has reportedly been in hiding and fugitive since last year.
Mr Saif accused the opposition of spreading false news to gain political advantage, emphasizing that all PTI leaders, including Atif Khan, are united under the party banner. He reaffirmed Gandapur’s leadership in administrative and political matters, dismissing allegations of Saeed’s influence.
The denial comes amidst rumors of infighting within the PTI, with some leaders allegedly seeking to undermine Gandapur’s authority.
KP government spokesperson Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif reiterated that all leaders, including Mashaal Yousafzai, are united under the PTI banner, with Ali Amin Gandapur leading the party in administrative and political matters.
