CM condemns Wana, Lakki Marwat blasts; seeks report from IG-KP

Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Saturday strongly condemned the explosions in Wana and the Manjeev Wala Chowk area of Lakki Marwat, directing the inspector general of police to submit a detailed report on the incidents.
Taking notice of the incidents, the chief minister expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of four people, including two policemen, in the blast in Wana and the death of two individuals in the Lakki Marwat explosion.
He also conveyed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims.
Mr Afridi said the provincial government shared the grief of the bereaved families and would stand by them during this difficult time.
The chief minister directed the relevant authorities to ensure immediate and the best possible medical treatment for the injured.
He also instructed officials to take emergency measures for the treatment of the seriously injured station house officer (SHO) and assistant sub-inspector (ASI).
Mr Afridi prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and for patience and strength for the families of the deceased.
He said such “cowardly acts of terrorism” could not demoralise the nation and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to continue efforts against terrorism.
The chief minister also prayed for the highest ranks for the martyrs.
