PESHAWAR: The newly elected Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, met with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, ahead of the swearing-in ceremony. A statement from the governor house stated that the meeting was also attended by Speaker of the Provincial Assembly Babar Saleem Swati, Provincial President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Junaid Akbar Khan, and other senior party leaders. During the meeting, Kundi extended his best wishes to the new Chief Minister. “We pray that you fulfill your responsibility of serving the country and the province in the best possible manner,” the Governor stated. He emphasized the need for political leadership to act with wisdom and unity to address the province’s pressing challenges. The long-standing deadlock over the Chief Minister’s oath-taking was finally resolved amicably following the intervention of the court. The meeting between the Governor and the Chief Minister marked a positive step forward, symbolizing political reconciliation and institutional cooperation.
