PESHAWAR
Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Kamran Bangash Saturday said that political parties of status quo that did not want free and fair elections are now opposing use of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in next general elections.
He said this while talking to media during inauguration of a housing society at here at Rahatabad. Kamran Bangash said that the public is being misled by distorting the facts regarding the electronic voting machine but innovation in technology brings development, convenience and awareness among people.
He said that representatives of backwardness and ignorance have always opposed technology. He said the opposition is opposing the electronic voting machine under the agenda just to cheat people and avoiding fair and transparent elections.
He said government will respond to Election Commission of Pakistan on objections regarding establishment of EVM. He said objection on electoral process is not new, adding there have been objections to every election for 70 years.
Electronic voting machine will remove objections on elections, adding we say let’s take examine at this system.
EVM will be used in 2023 elections and PTI would also win the elections which is the cause that mafia is suffering from the electronic voting system, Kamran Bangash added.
We do not want institutional clashes, adding any positive suggestions for improving the system would be welcomed, said Kamran Bangash.
Inflation has risen across the world due to the Corona pandemic but some people blame government just for political scoring, he added.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, development and reforms are underway in every sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The approval of Dir and Dera Motorways is a revolutionary step for the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said Kamran Bangash.
