PESHAWAR: A colourful event was held at Hope Special Children School at Nowshera being run under an aegis of Pakistan Army in connection with International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The children presented Naat, national anthem and songs besides different tableaus and expressed their immeasurable love with their motherland. The children hoisted national flags as a mark of respect for Pakistan that added colour to the event. The participants highly encouraged the special children and said that their active participation in different events has not made them realize that they are suffering from physical disability. Hope Special Children School was established at Nowsehra district with assistance of the Pakistan Army in 2012 where experts’ staff was hired for education of special children. The national and international education courses were being taught here in line with modern days requirements. Besides separate classes, library, and indoor and outdoor sports grounds, the schools also have physiotherapy and medical rooms, hearing equipment, psychological counseling and air-conditioned class rooms.
