Commissioner Kohat encourages several schools for excellent performance

Peshawar: Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah has under the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Program “Awami Agenda” visited various Schools, Hospitals, Animal Husbandry in Shakardara, Lachi and Banda Daud Shah Tehsils of Kohat and Karak districts on Saturday to review the activities of various institutions. He also visited Markets, Bazaars, Bus Stands, Schools, MOL Oil and Gas installations of Nishpa. Commissioner Kohat, during his visit recommended immediate suspension of TMA Shakardara for non-cleaning of the drains in bazaar and bus stand of Shakardara and also sought an explanation from the Tehsil Municipal Officer. Similarly, he directed the DHO and Deputy Commissioner to inquire into the lack of doctors in Shakradara Hospital and the allegedly missing staff from the hospital while lack of required staff in the hospital and water problems will be discussed with the relevant authorities. He discussed the slow pace of work in hospitals with the Health Secretary. The Commissioner also visited 3 schools of Tehsil Shakardara which were found excellent in all respects and prizes were also given on the occasion. Meanwhile, Motasim Billah Shah, in a meeting with the polio workers at the Lachi Hospital, praised their excellent performance who worked hard under very difficult conditions. The said hospital was also inspected along with the local MPA Daud Shah Afridi and instructions were given to the cleaning staff and the local Tehsildar to clean the entire hospital within 24 hours otherwise Tehsildar will be relieved. Commissioner also visited High School Ahmadi Banda in Banda Daud Shah and praised the staff for excellent cleaning and planting. He during the visit to Banda Daud Shah Tehsil Headquarters Hospital recommended immediate disciplinary action against 4 employees for extremely poor condition and the absence of some staff. Similarly, action was also recommended against the EPI in-charge center for gross negligence. Likewise, Commissioner Kohat was given a detailed briefing on safety measures and social activities of the MOL Company in the area while inspecting the Oil and Gas installations of MOL and NISHPA Oil Field. Police and District Administration Officers were also present on this occasion. On the proposal of the commissioner, immediate approval was given to set up medical camps for women and children in the adjacent rural areas and funds were also allocated for organizing sports events for the youth.
