Commissioner Kohat suspends 41 officers and officials during his surprise visit

Under the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Program “Awami Agenda”, the Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah has along with the Deputy Commissioner Kohat Abdul Akram Chitrali, during a surprise visit to various offices, schools and hospitals, suspended 35 Officers and Officials of Education Department, Principal and Vice Principal of Government Secondary School Togh Bala, 2 Lady Doctors of Type C Hospital Lachi, Technician of Rural Health Center Gumbat and Supervisor of WSSC for absenteeism and negligence.
According to details, Commissioner Kohat Division under the Program “Awami Agenda”, on Saturday paid a surprise visit to various offices and institutions of Health and Education, Excise and Taxation department, WSSC areas and Kohat Grade Station. On this occasion, Commissioner Kohat found 35 officers/officials absent out of 77 male and female offices of the Education Department including 2 Officers of Grade 18 and 3 Officers of Grade 17 who were suspended on the spot.
He expressed anguish over the dilapidated condition of the building despite having 14 Class-IV in the education department.
Commissioner Kohat also suspended the principal (B-19) and Vice Principal of the Government Higher Secondary School Togh Bala due to the extremely poor condition of the school. Meanwhile, Motasim Billah Shah also suspended 2 Lady Doctors of Tehsil Hospital Lachi and the Technician of Rural Health Center Gumbat for absence, while the supervisor of WSSC was suspended for negligence in work. Commissioner Kohat issued directions for deduction from the suspended officers and officials to the Accounts Officer Kohat.
Likewise, on the directives of the Commissioner Kohat, 6 Days Massive Cleanliness Drive, under the Awami Agenda Program is being started throughout the Kohat Division from Sunday to Friday.
The Drive will be conducted in the buildings of all government departments in the entire Kohat division from Sunday to Tuesday while from Wednesday to Friday, a special cleaning campaign will be conducted in all markets, parks, bus stands and river channels within the urban population in which thousands of people will participate.
This 6-day continuous cleaning campaign will be supervised by all the deputy commissioners including the commissioner and the heads of the relevant departments themselves.
