MALAKAND
An important meeting held here on Monday with Commissioner Malakand Division Saqib Raza Aslam in the chair, reviewed the drive against electricity theft and recovery of arrears from electricity defaulters.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Malakand Region Mohammad Ali Khan and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Swat Dr. Qasim Ali Khan Superintending Engineer Pisco Swat Circle participated in the meeting while Deputy Commissioners and District Police Officers of other districts participated in the meeting through video link.
According to a statement, the officials of PESCO Swat circle briefed the forum about the ongoing operations against the power theft and recovery from defaulters.
The Commissioner of Malakand Division directed the quarter concerned that all resources should be utilized for the elimination of Kanda culture, prevention of electricity theft and recovery of arrears from defaulters.
He directed all the DC and district police chief to hold a meeting to settle the matter with the Pesco officials to recover the arrears due to the domestic and commercial consumers.
He furthered that the administration and police are fully cooperating with PESCO in this national campaign, which is yielding far-reaching results.
