Committee formed to probe minor girl death at Molvi Ameer Shah Hospital

A two-member inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the death of a nine-month-old girl, Arha, at Molvi Ameer Shah Memorial Hospital in Peshawar.
Advisor to Chief Minister on Health Dr. Riaz Anwar took notice of the incident and ordered an inquiry into the matter related to the death of a minor girl.
Earlier, the family members have alleged that the girl died due to the alleged negligence of doctors on duty in the hospital. The girl’s relatives have applied to the police monitoring system for action.
Umar Faroqu ,the father of Arha, said that the deceased girl was admitted to the hospital on September 14 after medical examination but the doctors on duty allegedly did not pay any proper attention to her and she died.
Following the incident, Advisor to CM on Health Dr. Riaz Anwar formed a two-member committee to find out the facts regarding the death of a minor girl in the aforementioned hospital.
A statement issued by the provincial health department said that formal instructions have been issued to director general health to submit the report of the inquiry within three days.
The committee members included Dr Khizar Hayat, director MCH at director general health services KP and Dr Sardar Hilal, deputy director (inquiry cell) at the health services Peshawar.
“In order to probe into the death incident of a child, which happened at Molvi Ameer Shah Memorial Hospital Peshawar, an inquiry committee is hereby constituted to conduct the facts finding inquiry,” said a notification issued by director general health KP.
