On behalf of provincial disaster management authority (PDMA), compensation cheques to 15 rain affected families were given away here on the last day.
Assistant commissioner, Landi Kotal Irshad Mohmand in the presence of tribal elders and the administration officials gave away cheques of financial aid to the persons whose houses were partially damaged in the torrential rain and floods last month.
Speaking on the occasion the sub divisional administrative officer said that the government was aware of the miseries of the rain effectees and would never leave them alone in that time of need.
He added that soon after the natural disaster, the government adopted all necessary initiatives to provide relief to the rain and flood affected families.
He assured that financial support would be extended soon or later to all flood effectees.
At the end he distributed compensation chaques among 15 rain affected families.
