ISLAMABAD: A complaint has been filed with the Supreme Judicial Council against Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, Justice Alia Neelum, and Justice Abhar Gul Khan. The complaint questions their educational qualifications and alleges that they are not fit to hold judicial office. It also raises concerns about interference in Lahore’s district judiciary, including the transfer of women district judges to remote areas. The allegations were brought forward by affected female judges and parents of judicial officers who wished to remain anonymous for protection. The complainants have urged the Supreme Judicial Council to examine Justice Alia Neelum’s alleged interference and to verify Justice Abhar Gul Khan’s credentials before confirmation. They requested that, if the allegations are proven correct, appropriate action be taken, including the removal of both judges from office. Online
