Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said recognizing Taliban or otherwise will be decision of Imran Khan and foreign ministry.
“ Pakistan played vital role in bringing US and Taliban on negotiation table. A peaceful Afghanistan is as much beneficial for Pakistan as it is for Afghanistan itself. Prime Minister (PM) Imran tried hard to convince former Afghan president Ashraf Ghani but there was mess in his mind. We will neither interfere in Afghanistan nor will allow any one to interfere in our affairs. How much India is unleashing propaganda against Pakistan is all wrong. No super power can by pass us”, He said this in a press conference here Wednesday.
He went on to say Pakistan is important country in the world. Recognizing Taliban or otherwise will be the decision of PM Imran Khan and foreign ministry.
He held that the conspiracy to make Pakistan scapegoat has met failure. It is in the instinct of corrupt man that he flees the country. PM Imran Khan had this assessment but Ashraf Ghani was under mammoth misconception. PM Imran Khan tried his best to convince Ashraf Ghani in Uzbekistan but there was mischief in the mind of Ashraf Ghani.
He told the journalists there was no impediment in Torkham and Chaman. Pakistan army and civil armed forces are there on borders. The way from Torkham to Kabul is clear.
He pointed out we have brought back 613 Pakistanis from Afghanistan to Pakistan so far. We have decided to evacuate all Pakistanis from Kabul within two days. We are giving transit visas to the foreigners marooned in Afghanistan. It is directive of PM Imran Khan that visa process be completed within a day.
Thanks God there is peace in Afghanistan, he said adding about 60 t0 70m foreigners will be brought to Pakistan through chartered planes. Visa will be issued to the foreign diplomats and representatives of international media when they arrive in Pakistan.
He stated that hybrid war is going on against Pakistan and social media is major weapon. It is hoped situation in Pakistan will improve.
He added Torkham and Chaman borders are completely peaceful. The greatest army of the world is there on our borders and movement is underway therein.
We have neither made any arrangement for Afghan refugees nor is any one coming from Afghanistan. We refute Indian media reports on this count. Indian media has unleashed false propaganda against Pakistan.
We have appealed to azadars to follow SOPs of corona virus, he remarked. Mobile service is being suspended temporarily on the request of particular areas. Armed forces and all the institutions are alert for the security of the country.
