Constructive dialogue imperative to address political discord: Faiq

Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party emphasised the critical link between political stability and economic prosperity in the country.
The ATP chief underscored the need of attaining economic stability, it is imperative to address political discord through constructive dialogue.
Instead of indulging in political slugfest, he said there should be a durable solution of all issues under a united front.
We want a clear roadmap for social economic uplift of poor and downtrodden segments of the society, Mr Shah said while chairing a meeting of the party’ central executive committee here on Monday.
Shah had already proposed a concrete solution to the country’s major issues under a united platform, stating it is essential to forge unity for political and economic stability.
He said that political stability and a peaceful environment were crucial for attracting foreign investment.
“We want national harmony and resolution to people’ issues, and elimination of tug of war for power”,
The ATP chief asked the government to focus on eliminating poverty, hunger and unemployment.
He also called for proactive steps to utilize natural resources to remove dependence on foreign loans and make the country economically self-reliant.
He, furthermore, emphasized education, health and agriculture, industries and trade to be prioritized.
Shah said every segment of society, including traders, businessmen, industrialists, working class and daily wagers are upset under the prevailing uncertain situation.
Calling to remove tradition of political vendetta by using NAB and national institutions against opponents, the party leader asserted the necessity for political parties to move forward unitedly to resolve issues facing both the common Pakistanis and the country. The ATP chief said concrete policies should be enforced to ensure social and economic justice to people.
He said his party has struggled for the last seven years to ensure public authority and justice, which has brought fruitful results. He made it clear that issues cannot be resolved until provision of public authority and justice. Also, he said only young and competent people can steer the country out of the crisis situations.
