A team led by drug inspectors of district Mardan and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials on Monday raided a unit of fake veterinary medicine in district Mardan and seized large quantities of counterfeit veterinary products, medicine stock of raw materials, machinery and packing materials.
The raid, led by district drug inspector Ameer Zeb, Haroon Rashid and officials of FIA, was conducted on a house situated at village Lal Mir in district Mardan.
The officials said that manufacturing of veterinary products was in-progress and the team seized a huge stock of raw materials , machinery and packing materials worth more than Rs10 millions. The team has also arrested a person identified as Javed Khan, resident of Tehsil Takht Bhai district Mardan.
The raid was conducted by the officials of Directorate General (DG) Drug Control & Pharmacy Services, Drug Control Team of District Mardan on the special direction of Secretary Health.
The action against the spurious Drugs/illegal Drugs will be continued in the entire province by the concerned officials across the province, said health department officials in a statement.
