The accused involved in the renowned murder case of 5-year-old innocent girl Hareem Fatima in Kohat has been sentenced to life imprisonment. The punishment order has been issued by the Special Court of Child Protection here on Saturday. According to the details, last year, a 5-year-old innocent girl Hareem Fatima, a resident of Khattak Colony, Kohat area, was brutally strangled to death and an FIR of the incident was registered against unknown suspects in the Muhammad Riaz Shaheed Police Station and the investigation of the incident started and the police took 40 suspects into custody and interrogated them. Meanwhile, the police also detained Rabia Jabeen, a local woman, and started investigating her on all aspects, who confessed her crime to the police in the initial investigation.
Later, the trial was started by presenting the challan of the case to the court and during the follow-up of the case, the judge of the special court of child protection found the accused guilty on the basis of the statements of all the eyewitnesses, the investigation process of the police and the evidence.
Judge Farhana Tabsum sentenced the accused to life imprisonment and a fine of 50,000 rupees. In light of the orders of the court, the accused has been immediately transferred to the district jail by the police and the execution of the sentence has started.
