KARACHI: District and Sessions Court while ordering police to register murder case in respect of mysterious death of model and actress Humaira Asghar has remarked that the statements of family members of deceased Humaira Asghar be recorded. This order was given by Additional District and Sessions Judge South on Monday. The judge also remarked police should initiate proceedings in this regard as per law. Police told the court contact has been made with family members of Humaira Asghar. Post mortem of the deceased lady has been conducted. Final forensic report is awaited. Further proceeding will be initiated on receipt of the forensic report. The court wrapped up the petition seeking registration of murder case in respect of actress. The court has ordered police to register case under section 154. If the case is liable to be made under section 154 then it should be registered. The counsel argued that Humaira died on October 7. Phone was used till February 2025. Phone was open. The phone of make up artist was not attended. Following this phone whatsapp DP was also deleted. Make up artist be also called. The counsel said that brother of Humaira Asghar and others be also ordered to join the investigation. Mention about taking samples of blood from wash room and room is also made in police report.
