Court records statements of further 8 accused in GHQ attack case

RAWALPINDI: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has adjourned till February 26 hearing of GHQ attack case against PTI former chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other accused persons after recording statements of further 8 witnesses. This way statements of 25 witnesses have been recorded so far. Former chairman PTI was presented in the court Saturday on occasion of 9th hearing of the case. Fawad Chaudhry, Raja Basharat, Shehryar Afridi and other accused were present therein. During hearing prosecutor Syed Zahir Shah got recorded statements of 8 witnesses of case. Sub inspector Aqeel Ahmad filed as evidence in the court details of warrant raids and advertisement in respect of absconding accused in the case including Murad Saeed, Hammad Azhar, Raja Basharat and Zulfi Bokhari. On this occasion 8 witnesses of prosecution including sub inspector Babar Sajjad, Rajab Ali, Ahmad Nawaz,ASI Aqeel Ahmad , ASI Adnan Ahsan, Shamrez Mehboob, Constable Talib Hussain, lady constable Simra Ishfaq recorded their evidence. Lady police constable presented in the court mobiles which were recovered from accused Nadia Hussain and Fatima Hassan.
Prosecution presented in the court mobile phones, sticks and other things.
The court adjourned further hearing till 26 February.
