Court rejects lawyers plea for permission to meet Imran Khan

RAWALPINDI: The court has rejected lawyers plea seeking permission to have meeting with PTI founder in GHQ attack case. May 9 GHQ attack case came up for hearing in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Tuesday. Judge Amjid Ali Shah took up the case for hearing. Counsel Faisal Malik requested the court legal consultation has to be made with PTI founder. Permission be granted to meet him in Adiala Jail. Prosecutor Syed Zahir Shah said PTI founder is not arrested in this case. PTI founder is in the custody of jail authorities. The powers for arranging meeting with PTI founder rest with jail authorities. This matter does not fall in the jurisdiction of this court. Judge Amjid Ali Shah while agreeing to prosecution arguments dismissed the plea.
