Court reserves judgment on acquittal plea of PTI founder, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Sheikh Rashid others

District and Sessions Court Islamabad has reserved judgment on acquittal plea of PTI founder, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Sheikh Rashid and others in Haqiqi Azadi March cases.
Judicial magistrate Malik Imran reserved judgment in District and Sessions Court Islamabad Thursday.
Former federal minister Sheikh Rashid appeared in the court and filed acquittal plea
The co-accused Ali Nawaz Awan and Sadaqat Abbasi appeared in the court too.
PTI lawyers Sardar Masroof advocate, Amna Ali, Rizwan Akhtar Awan and Mirza Asim advocate appeared in the court.
Sardar Masroof advocate told the court he had filed acquittal plea in February last year. We want to give arguments on acquittal plea in this case today.
Judge Malik Imran remarked challans of Sadaqat Abbasi, Ali Nawaz Awan and Sheikh Rashid have been received in the court.
Sardar Masroof advocate said this FIR has been registered on violation of section 144. No evidence is there in this case. Nothing is there including CCTV footage. The respective person has not got registered case.
The court reserved judgment on bail plea of PTI founder, Sheikh Rashid, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other accused after hearing the arguments.
The reserved judgment will be announced on June 6. The court remarked acquittal plea has come from Sheikh Rashid and other accused. Decision will be given after hearing all the petitions together’
The court while issuing notice to the respondents adjourned the hearing of the case till June 6. Talking to media men in District Courts Islamabad, Sheikh Rashid said my silence is very important in prevailing situation. I lost the election and I accepted it. Ask from those who have won the election.
He held there are 19 cases against him. All these matters should be dealt with courage and silence.
Regarding 6 judges letter he said this is serious matter . The judges themselves are bringing the letters under discussion in better way. This is extremely serious matter.
