CS-KP says digitization of business process crucial for development

An important meeting held here on Tuesday with Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah in the chair, reviewed progress on modernizing and streamlining business processes in the province under the recently approved Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assan Karobar Business Bill 2025, said a handout.
The meeting was attended by secretaries of the Finance and Industry Departments, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade, and officials from the KP IT Board.
Participants were briefed on legal reforms introduced under the new bill, including the establishment of a”one window operation” to facilitate businesspersons and the development of an integrated online portal. The portal will serve as a central platform for the registration of all small and large businesses and will enable online processing of registrations, licenses, permits, and payments through an e-payment system.
Officials noted that these measures aim to improve the overall business environment, attract greater investment, and generate employment opportunities, particularly for the youth.
Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah emphasized the need to accelerate implementation, terming the ease of doing business and digitization of business-related processes as crucial for the province’s economic development.
