A key review meeting on the Good Governance Roadmap reforms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Board of Revenue and Livestock Department was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, focusing on improving service delivery, transparency, and institutional efficiency.
The meeting, attended by the Additional Chief Secretary (General), administrative secretaries, and senior officials, was briefed on ongoing reforms in the Board of Revenue.
Officials highlighted progress in digitizing land records, enhancing service delivery, and providing deputy commissioners with the necessary resources to preserve and digitize old documents. District administrations have been directed to scan and safeguard all existing records, with all digitization initiatives expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
Mobile units are being introduced to deliver land record services directly to citizens, with a focus on assisting women and senior citizens. Additionally, the digital land record system will be linked with NADRA to further promote transparency.
The Chief Secretary also reviewed reform initiatives in the Livestock Department, noting effective measures to improve the sector, including the expansion of mobile veterinary units to 25 tehsils and the digitization of vaccination processes aimed at increasing large animal coverage from 7pc to 15pc.
A feasibility study for the Harichand Dairy Farm under a public-private partnership is expected to be completed in May.
Efforts to improve hygiene at meat sale points across divisional and tehsil levels and initiatives to boost fisheries production in rivers and dams were also discussed.
Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah directed all concerned authorities to ensure effective implementation of the reforms to provide efficient, citizen-friendly services across the province.
