CTD arrests most-wanted TTP terrorist from Karachi

KARACHI: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel have arrested a most-wanted terrorist of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from Karachi. According to CTD in-charge Khurram Waris, the accused was identified as Izatman son of Asfandyar Khan. The most-wanted terrorist of TTP was Ameer of Swat. Ameer of Matta Swat was arrested from old vegetable market, said the CTD in-charge. He said that the accused was also involved in the attack on the house of former federal minister Afzal Lala. During the investigation, the accused confessed that he attacked the Khawaja Khel checkpost and martyred three soldiers, said Khurram Waris. The CTD in-charge said that the accused also has confessed attacking Matta police station including several military cantonments. A large number of weapons and ammunition have been recovered from the possession of Tehreek-e-Taliban terrorist Izat Man, in-charge CTD Khurram Waris said. DNA
