CTO Peshawar inspects Muharram processions routes

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), Qamar Hayat Khan, on Wednesday conducted an inspection of routes of mourning processions in city and cantonment sectors of the provincial capital.
He inspected the overall traffic management in the above-mentioned sectors and issued special instructions to quarters concerned. CTO Peshawar was also accompanied by SP City Muhammad Saeed, DSP Zakaullah and DSP Saeed Khan and other police officials.
Qamar Hayat Khan also visited the Supreme Command Post, during the visit, he reviewed the measures taken for the traffic system across the city from the command post.
He also met with the personnel deployed on alternative routes to maintain the flow of traffic throughout the city during Muharram.
Traffic officials and officials should ensure proper implementation of the traffic plan so that the citizens do not face any kind of difficulties, he ordered and said that heavy personnel have been deployed on alternative routes to maintain flow so that citizens do not face any kind of difficulties.
Traffic police chief said that the traffic authorities have taken action against those who park vehicles in the no parking zones across the city.
He said that action should be taken against the owners by lifting the vehicles with a forklift. Actions should also be continued against those guilty of double-riding and those who use black glasses.
In order to provide convenience to the citizens during Muharram, awareness is being given on all social media sites and MF Radio 88.6 about regular alternative routes.
Mr Khan said, traffic police should use all their abilities to maintain the flow of traffic during Muharram.
