Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat visited different parts of the provincial capital on Friday to inspect traffic police management in the morning.
During the visit, the Chief Traffic Officer reviewed the flow of school going vehicles and traffic and issued necessary instructions to the officials on duty.
Abbas Majeed directed authorities to take strict action against the violators of the no parking zone to ensure parking in the plazas.
“All capacities should be used to improve the flow of traffic uninterruptedly and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard,” he added and said that actions against the encroachment mafia were underway to keep the flow of traffic smooth in Peshawar and provide citizen relief.
He said that the traffic police should clear the footpaths including the roadsides from the encroaching mafia so that the pedestrians do not face any kind of problems and no one should be lenient in this regard.
The CTO said that the city traffic police should continue the awareness campaign for the elimination of traffic rules and encroachments throughout the city because better results are coming out.
He said that the business community should cooperate with the traffic staff to eliminate encroachment from the city and ensure smooth flow of traffic.
