Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Science and Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, has said that the provincial government has transformed technology into an effective tool for public service delivery, enabling citizens to access key government services online remotely.
After the launching of Dastak Mobile Application, citizens no longer need to stand in queues at government offices. The government has brought all essential services to the people’s doorsteps through technology—services that once required multiple visits to various offices.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz stated that citizens can now apply for new driving licenses or renew existing ones from home. Similarly, they can apply online for birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates.
There is no longer a need to visit offices for arms licenses either. Property transfers, vehicle registration in one’s name, and applying for vehicle number plates can also be done from home.
He further added that for payment of all such services, a secure, simple, and transparent system has been integrated within the Dastak App through the Paymir application—eliminating the need to visit any bank or government office.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz noted that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the PTI-led government is making significant efforts to modernize and simplify public services in the province.
He concluded by saying that these initiatives reflect the vision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, Imran Khan, who envisions a welfare state based on the principles of Riyasat-e-Madina, where citizens are served with dignity, justice, and convenience.
