Deputy Commissioner Tank Arshad Qayum Burki friday distributed more than Rs3.7 million honorarilly among 125 religious scholars of different Mosques in the district.
A ceremony in this connection was held at DC office.
Speaking on the occasion the DC said that according to the announcement made by Prime Minister Imran Khan Rs300,00 were being distributed among each religious scholar.
Arshad Qayum Burki said the district administration distributed the honorarilly among them on merit basis. He said that Ulema-e-Karam were playing vital role in religious affairs as well as for the peace of society.
