Decades-old road problems in Tank have finally been resolved under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Tanveer Khan Khattak, whose proactive measures and strict oversight have brought a visible transformation to the district’s infrastructure.
The two-kilometer-long Tank city main road, a project long delayed has been completed. The road’s construction, pending for several administrations, was revived and executed under DC Tanveer Khan’s direct supervision.
Working closely with elected representatives, the Deputy Commissioner ensured timely completion and quality standards that have drawn widespread public appreciation.
In addition to the main city road, several link roads across Tank have been rehabilitated, including Sabir Baba–Langer Bai road, Umar Adda–Sabir Baba road, Sabir Baba–Durand Gate road, Wazirabad Balochi–Durand Gate Wana road, and Traffic Chowk–Pezu road.
The newly constructed road has eased traffic congestion and improved mobility for thousands of daily commuters. Residents say the development has not only beautified the city but also restored confidence in the local administration.
Officials said DC Tanveer Khan personally monitored progress through daily meetings, ensuring that construction remained transparent and that any technical hurdles were resolved on the spot.
Local residents and civil society representatives have lauded the Deputy Commissioner for his “hands-on” approach, saying that his initiatives have revitalized urban mobility and provided long-awaited relief to the public.
The completion of these projects marks a significant milestone in Tank’s development history, reflecting DC Tanveer Khan’s focus on accountability, efficiency, and citizen welfare in one of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s most underserved districts.
