Death toll from rains, snow related incidents climbs to 18

Death toll from rains and snowfall related incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has climbed to 18 while 46 others have been injured in the province so far, said updates shared by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) issued here on Monday.
At least 109 houses have also been partially damaged.
According to PDMA officials, on the directives of the Chief Minister Mahmood Khan relief operation is continued in all concerned districts while relief goods have already been distributed in the rain affected families at Charsadda, Karak, Khyber, Mohmand, Nowshera and Dir Upper districts.
40 feet high snow sliding have been removed from Tauheed Abad and Kandola areas of the Galiyat.
The authority has also directed district administration of the affected districts to prepare estimates of losses due to rains and snowfall in their districts to compensate them as per policy of the government.
