Deputy Speaker Suriya directs swift action on nursing college in Chitral

Deputy Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Suriya, chaired an important meeting regarding the establishment of a nursing college in Upper Chitral and other healthcare issues. The meeting was attended by Secretary Health Shahidullah, Director General Health Services Dr. Saleem, Director General PHSA Dr. Waheed, Special Secretary Health KP Habibullah, Chief Planning Officer Javed, Registrar Khyber Medical University, XEN C&W, and other senior officials.
The meeting reviewed various aspects of establishing the nursing college, including site selection, required funding, infrastructure, and staff appointments. Deputy Speaker Suriya termed the project a revolutionary step for the region and directed the concerned authorities to ensure swift progress.
Secretary Health Shahidullah briefed the meeting on the significance of the nursing college, stating that it would promote quality nursing education in the area and enhance the availability of trained medical staff. DG Health Dr. Saleem emphasized that this initiative would serve as a milestone not only for Upper Chitral but also for the surrounding areas.
Special Secretary Health Habibullah assured that the project would be expedited, and all technical and financial aspects would be prioritized. Chief Planning Officer Javed stated that the PC-1 for the nursing college would be prepared soon, and the necessary funds would be allocated in a timely manner.
Deputy Speaker Suriya instructed the relevant departments to accelerate their efforts in establishing the nursing college so that local youth can access quality medical education as soon as possible. She hailed the initiative as a major advancement in the healthcare sector and expressed hope that it would significantly improve health services in Upper Chitral.
