A statement issued here on Tuesday said that the meeting was convened following concerns raised by Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Dr Amjad Ali regarding an ongoing NAB inquiry against him during the Assembly session held on October 27.
During the meeting, the DG NAB briefed the Speaker that all proceedings were being carried out transparently and strictly in accordance with the National Accountability Ordinance, 1999. Mr Farman Ullah further informed that all official notices had been issued through the Accountability Facilitation Cell (AFC) established in the Speaker’s Office, and that all correspondence between NAB and the Assembly was being conducted under approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Similarly, all documents submitted by Dr. Amjad Ali to NAB were routed via the same channel, with future correspondence to continue accordingly.
The Speaker directed the AFC to ensure close coordination and timely communication with NAB while strictly adhering to the agreed SOPs.
