PESHAWAR
An important meeting of the provincial committee for census was held here on Monday with Chief Secretary Imdad Bosal in the chair, reviewed arrangements for 7th digital census across the province.
The meeting was attended by the members of the census committee,provincial census commissioner, additional chief secretary, and administrative secretaries of the concerned departments.
Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on this occasion issued instructions to officials to ensure best available facilities for enumerators to achieve objects of the exercise.
Mr Bosal said that government officials should effectively involved all relevant stakeholders for accurate headcount.
“Coordination among the respondents is essential for a successful census,” he added and said that digital census posses key role in devising future strategies,resources allocations and timely planing for development across the sectors.
The forum was informed that 7th house and census exercise will kick start from March 1 to April 1.
It added that 7th digital census will also provide the opportunity to people for the self-enumeration.
Census staff will go door to door and register all individuals and families, the chair informed. Speaking on the occasion, CS-KP maintained that digital census will ensure accurate and final data regarding the population and houses in the province.
