Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Science, Technology, and IT Dr. Shafqat Ayaz announced that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched fully functional Citizen Facilitation Centers (CFCs) in Swat, Mardan, Abbottabad, Dera Ismail Khan, and Bannu to improve public service delivery and promote transparent governance.
“These centers mark the beginning of a new era in e-governance,” said Dr. Ayaz. “Over 26 essential services, including arms licenses, domicile, birth and death certificates, driving licenses, vehicle registration, and property documents, are now provided under one roof, eliminating the need for citizens to visit multiple offices or wait in long queues.”
Dr. Ayaz also highlighted the successful launch of the Dastak App and Khyber Pass App, allowing users to access services digitally via smartphones.
In addition, the provincial government plans to introduce free public Wi-Fi to tackle connectivity issues and further enhance digital access.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to extending CFCs to all districts and tehsils, stating, “We are moving toward comprehensive digitalization, transforming KP into the first province with fully integrated e-governance and smart public services.”
