Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Science and Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, has said that the flagship program “Digital Skills Initiative” launched by the provincial government was not merely a project to impart skills but a guarantee of employment and economic self-reliance for the youth. “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are exceptionally talented, and this program will prepare them according to international standards, enabling them to seize opportunities both at the national and international levels,” he added.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz informed that under this initiative, several agreements (MoUs) have been signed with renowned national and international companies. According to these agreements, students will not only be trained but will also be provided with employment opportunities, so that they can practically transform their lives rather than remain only skillful in theory.
He said that after the advertisement of the program, more than 6,000 youth from across the province applied. Following scrutiny, more than 4,000 applicants were declared eligible, out of which over 2,000 passed the online screening test.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz said that under this program, youth will be trained in 24 different fields of digital skills. These include Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Computer Networking, Graphic Design, Game Development, Web and Mobile App Development, Business Intelligence, and Social Media Marketing. In addition, students will also be provided with career counseling, mentorship, and scholarships for global certifications.
He further said that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has termed these agreements a revolutionary step and emphasized that equipping youth with global-standard digital skills along with employment opportunities is the greatest success of the present government. The Chief Minister stated that this initiative will bring positive change in the lives of thousands of families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and strengthen the province’s economy.
Dr. Shafqat Ayaz added that this initiative is not just a training program but truly a “Life-Changer Initiative” that will make youth economically independent and position Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a key player in the digital economy.
