PESHAWAR
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for science and information technology, Food and Sports Muhammad Atif Khan has said that steps were afoot to digitize public service delivery system and improve quality of transparency of government departments.
He said that the KP government was committed to adapt modern lines and introduce technology based services for their citizens.
He expressed these views while presiding over the 7th meeting of the steering committee held to review the progress of the E-Governance project in the province.
Secretary of science and information department, managing director of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board, officials of related departments and representatives of NETSOL Technology EY Technology were also present on the occasion.
In the meeting, the concerned authorities informed the provincial minister about the progress so far made on the e-governance project in the province.
Atif Khan issued instructions to relevant officials to thoroughly review the execution of the projects under the E-Governance and all impediments in the way of successful implementation should be removed as early as possible.
He said that the aim of moving the province towards digitization is to provide facilities to the citizens. The youth can be put on their feet only by promoting the science and information technology sector as this sector has developed a lot of potential all over the world.
