PESHAWAR
The provincial minister for agriculture and livestock on Wednesday claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march under the leadership of Imran Khan would prove the last nail in the incumbent government’s coffin, adding that days of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government are numbered.
In a statement, Muhibullah Khan claimed that a sea of people was moving toward the country capital demanding the early and transparent elections.
He said that a large number of PTI supporters, workers and sympathizers of PTI chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan were enthusiastic to join the caravan coming to Islamabad from Punjab.
“A large number of people are committed to participate in the PTI’ long march for real independence,” he said and added that people from all over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including district, Swat and Malakand division, are ready to turn towards Islamabad in the form of a tsunami in Azadi March.
Muhibullah added that successive by-polls in the province have proved the popularity of Imran Khan and sent a message to the incumbent government to announce the snap polls or ready the consequences.
He warned the federal government to hold the early and transparent by-polls as soon as possible or the situation would be out of control, adding that people across the country have pinned their hopes on PTI and rejected the PDM government.
The provincial minister maintained that the incumbent government ousted PTI chairman Imran Khan from the power corridor through an alleged foreign conspiracy.
PTI leader from Swat Muhibullah said “the current imported federal government is avoiding holding general elections due to the popularity of PTI and the fear of its defeat in the elections”.
