PESHAWAR
Ahmad Al-Musa, Director Physical Rehabilitation Program of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), on Sunday paid visit to Paraplegic Center Peshawar and reviewed various sections of the center including its rehab wards, OPD, Club Foot Clinics, Autism Section and Artificial Aids Factory.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of PCP and former Secretary of the Finance Department Ziaur Rahman, Chief Executive Dr. Syed Mohammad Ilyas, Director Rehab Aamir Zeb Khan and Project Officer Imran Latif also accompanied him.
Ahmed Al-Musa appreciated the performance of this unique and only institution in Pakistan for the treatment and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities and assured of all possible support from ICRC.
On this occasion, it was agreed to extend the MoU of ICRC with PCP to provide valuable material required for the manufacturing of supportive devices and equipment for paraplegic patients of the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Pertinent to mention that this global organization is also a big buyer of customized wheel chairs and accessories made by Paraplegic Center for the rehabilitation centers under command of ICRC.
The last one year performance report of the Paraplegic Center was also presented to him, that he highly appreciated.
