District admin, WSSCK jointly launched a special cleanliness campaign

Following the instructions of the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, district administration and Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat (WSSCK) jointly launched a cleanliness campaign in the city.
The campaign was formally inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Kohat Abdul Ikram and Chairman Board of Directors (BoDs) WSSCK and acting CEO of the company Muhammad Saad here during an event held, said in a statement issued here Monday.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by WSSCK board member Shakeel Ahmad Afridi, Deputy General Manager Hafif, Sanitation Head Ammad Bangash and Assistant Engineer Abdul Shaukat.
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Ikram while speaking at the ceremony stated that Kohat is our all home and collective responsibility is to keep it clean and beautiful.
He urged masses to cooperate with government institutions to keep the city clean, graceful and elegant.
Acting CEO of the WSSCK said the company will utilize all resources to make the cleanliness campaign successful.
He informed on the occasion that a special cleanliness campaign will be carried out in six urban units of the city.
The purpose of the campaign is to provide citizens a clean and healthy environment, he added.
Muhammad Saad said the cleanliness drive will be executed phase wise, according to which cleaning of streets and sewerage lines, improvement of sanitation system, and cleanliness of other public places.
Acting CEO urged people to actively take part in the special cleanliness campaign and play role in making clean and graceful of houses, shops and surrounding areas.
