Peshawar: KP Minister for Excise and Taxation Khaliq-ur-Rehman chaired a review meeting to discuss the department’s performance. The Excise Department collected Rs 4.53 billion in revenue, exceeding the target of Rs 4.26 billion for the last nine months. The department saw a significant 69.5% increase in revenue collection compared to the same period last year, amounting to an additional Rs 1.86 billion. The Excise Department achieved 107% of its target, demonstrating exceptional performance and efficiency. Minister Khaliq-ur-Rehman ordered a special campaign against major tax evaders and defaulters, emphasizing strict action against token tax defaulters and unregistered vehicles.
