KHYBER
The annual election of District Press Club, Landi Kotal for the year 2026 completed on Saturday with Aman Ali Shinwari and Hijrat Ali Afridi as President and General Secretary respectively.
The President elected unopposed while in the General Secretary seat Hijrat Ali Afridi got votes while his opponent Jibran Shinwari secured 09 votes.
The election was held under the supervision of Khyber Bar.
The Bar President Abrar Afridi advocate as Chairman with Taj Mahal Afridi advocate election commissioner and Ahmad Ullah Khtttak advocate acted as election committee member.
Cabinet members, including Aman Ali Shinwari President ,Pervaiz Khan Afridi vice President, Shahid Afridi joint Secretary and Mian Sajid Khan Finance Secretary were elected unopposed.
Speaking on the occasion, newly elected President Aman Ali Shinwari thanked his colleagues for electing him.
He said that he will leave no stone unturned to work for the welfare and betterment of the journalists’ community.
Earlier, President Khyber Bar and Chairman election committee Abrar Afridi announced the result and congratulated the winning cabinet members.
He urged them to utilize their energies to highlight problems and misères of the laymen.
