Peshawar Traffic Police have announced their performance report for 2025, revealing that over 2.1 million individuals were penalized for violating traffic rules.
According to the report, the police took action against 21,47,492 people for various offenses, including no-parking zone violations (36,900), helmet-less driving (14,604), and using mobile phones while driving (3,350).
The report highlights a 13% decrease in fatal accidents and a 15% reduction in overall accidents compared to 2024, attributed to awareness campaigns.
Chief Traffic Officer Dr. Zahidullah stated that the traffic police will continue to enforce rules and conduct awareness campaigns to promote safe driving practices.
