The staff of three major medical teaching institutes of Swabi continued their strike for the third day due to non-payment of salaries.
Doctors, paramedics and allied staff of three medical teaching institutes including Bacha Khan Medical Complex, Tehsil Hospitals of Lahor and Topi continued their strikes.
Patients needing immediate medical service were treated in emergency departments of these hospitals.
District President Paramedics Association, Fazal Hakeem said that workers have not received salaries of May. He threatened to close emergency services if their demands and concerns were not addressed.
