District Police Officer (DPO) Waqar Ahmed, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Bilal Shaida Rao and Member of Provincial Assembly, visited the camp for displaced victims in Painda China to assess the ongoing arrangements and security measures.
During the visit, DPO Waqar Ahmed conducted a comprehensive review of the camp’s facilities, including the registration process, security arrangements, and the provision of basic services.
He said the displaced citizens to remain patient and follow the established protocols, emphasizing the importance of orderly registration.
“Each family should wait their turn and join the queue in a disciplined manner to ensure smooth processing,” he said.
DPO Ahmed further called on the victims to cooperate with the district administration and police forces, ensuring that the registration process and provision of services proceed without any disruptions.
The high ups also inspected the NADRA, Health Center, PDM, and other relevant agencies overseeing the registration process.
DPO Ahmed reassured the victims that all steps are being taken to address their needs with both humanitarian concern and attention to security.
He confirmed that the police are actively involved in ensuring the safety of the camp and its residents.
In addition, DPO Waqar Ahmed emphasized that a robust police presence has been deployed at the camp and in surrounding areas to maintain order and safeguard the victims’ well-being, including their property and dignity. He further directed officers stationed at check posts along key routes to treat displaced families with respect and provide them with all necessary support to ensure their safe and smooth passage to the camp.
“The police force is here to serve and support the victims in this difficult time, offering both security and compassion,” DPO Ahmed stated. The district administration and police have committed to providing full assistance to the affected families during this challenging period.
