PESHAWAR: District Police Officer Kohat Abdul Rauf Babar Qaisrani on Wednesday emphasized upon Ulema to play a joint role against social evils and maintaining peace in the district. A delegation of religious scholars from throughout the district led by District Khateeb Shafiullah met the DPO at his office. In the meeting, issues of mutual interest and increasing bilateral relations and cooperation were discussed in detail. District Police Chief Abdul Rauf Babar Qaisrani urged the participants of the delegation of prominent Ulema to play their role in the reformation of the society. He said that the goal of the police and the Ulema is the same, so the responsibility of reforming society is also imposed on them.
The DPO said that the purpose of the meeting with the religious scholars is to eliminate social evils and to protect the future of the new generation from immoral gatherings.
