Peshawar: Dr. Maryam Umar Nasir faculty member of Khyber Medical University Institute of Dental Sciences (KMU-IDS) Kohat has defended her MPhil thesis at KMU-IPDM, Peshawar. She has completed her MPhil in Oral Pathology and her topic was Next Generation sequences (NGS). Her supervisor was Prof. Dr. Taj Ali Khan and co supervisor was Dr. Beenish Aleem. The external examiner of the thesis and Viva-voce was Associate Prof. Dr. Tahira Atta of KMU-Institute of Medical Sciences, Kohat and internal examiner was Associate Prof. Dr. Momin Khan of KMU-IBMS. It is worth mentioning that she was a pioneer student of the 1st batch of Oral Pathology of KMU-Institute of Pathology & Diagnostic Medicine. PR
Dr. Maryam did her BDS and FCPS 2 training in oral maxillofacial surgery and recently she is working as in charge General Pathology in KMU-IDS Kohat for the last 10 years. She described the successful defense of his thesis as the result of the excellent education and training of his teachers and the prayers of his parents, and expressed his determination to use his research in the wider public interest.
