PESHAWAR: On the directions of Chief Executive PESCO drive against illegal use of electricity and Recovery of dues, has been geared up through out Province.
In this regard Pesco teams under the supervision of Khalid Khan SDO Wazir Bagh sub division checked various premises including Shalozan, Gari Atta Mohammad, Akhunabad along with Pesco Police removed 28 direct hooks while FIRs have been lodged against 2 persons using direct hooks from LT Line and they have been arrested by police.
During checking an amount of Rs.8 lacs were recovered from defaulters. Similarly, Pesco teams under the supervision of Sajid Bahadar SDO Chamkani sub division checked various areas and 5 persons were nabbed using direct hooks.
During checking an illegal distribution single phase were removed, while power supply from 4 distribution transformers were disconnected due to nonpayment of Rs. 57 lacs.
Similarly during the checking in Shiekhabad, Afridiabad, Pandu Road of Gulbahar sub division under the supervision of SDO Shahid Afridi 4 persons were nabbed using direct hooks from LT Line.
FIR lodged and they have been arrested by police.
Drive against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks will continue, PESCO has once again warned to stop power pilferage in the larger interest of the nation, due to which PESCO has to faces financial losses & line losses on one hand and on the other hand PESCO’s whole distribution system gets over loaded and the general public faces inconvenience of frequent power break downs.
