KARAMPUR: Police on Saturday claimed to have recovered 145 kilograms of drugs following an encounter in which two suspects were injured. According to official details, police had set up a checkpoint at Pul Sahu in Karampur while searching for a suspicious mini truck. During the operation, three suspects on a vehicle approached and opened fire on the policemen. The police retaliated in self-defence. During an exchange of fire, two suspects sustainedinjuries by their own accomplices while the remaining suspects managed to flee.The injured were identified as Mohsin and Ali of Jhang district.
